Living in a toxic health and fitness environment
Influences from the environment
MOST OF OUR BEHAVIORS ARE INFLUENCED BY THE ENVIRONMENT SUCH AS, OUR FAMILIES, PEERS, HOME, SCHOOL, WORK, RADIO, TV, COMMUNITY, GOVERNMENT, AND OUR CULTURE. WE OBSERVE, LEARN, AND EMULATE. AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE WITH OUT EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT.
Smart goalsSmart goals are helpful strategies that help you achieve a specific goal. To begin with, the goal has to be specific because if you don't know exactly what you want to achieve its going to be hard to plan and organize it. Understand and know exactly if it is endurance you would like to increase or if you would like to improve your strength. The easiest way to do it is to write down actions that will help you achieve your specific goal. Secondly, the goal must be measurable. This means you have to be able to write it down in some mathematical way. Saying you will lose weight is not measurable but saying you will lose 15lbs is more like it. You have to be able to accept your goals, so the goals must be acceptable. You should be able to visualize and believe that you can actually do it. It should allow you to embrace positive thoughts. Goals should be realistic of course, they should be reasonable physically and mentally. If your goals it possible but extremly difficult you can write out short term and long term goals. Lastly, goals should be Time specific. Goals should have a specific date set for completion. The date should be realistic and give you enough time to reach the goal. You do not want to give your goal to much time because it leaves room for procastination.
